Internet Explorer 7 Released

The long-awaited new version of Internet Explorer is now available, promising a more secure and web designer-friendly version of the browser.

A number of improvements have been made but the question is whether enough has been done to tempt users of other browsers (such as Firefox) back to Internet Explorer.

From a web design point of view it will be interesting to see how IE7 handles page code and CSS, considering how notoriously problematic previous versions of IE were. It would certainly make web designers' lives a lot easier if web sites worked exactly the same in Internet Explorer as they do in Firefox and other standards-compliant browsers.
